That sentence is VERY popular between Mac users! It is their ultimate reason to explain why Mac is superior to a PC. They also want to MAKE sure that you know they are 100% satisfied with their Apple products (I don't give a DAMN!)! This is of course not true!Let's see. Does it really "just" work? I used Macs for 2 to 3 years at my university for our editing classes. THANK GOD it was only for editing! I had the most painful experience of my life in those classes and at the end, I used my PC to edit my demo reel! The difference between Windows crashing and Mac crashing is if something crashes on a Windows, you simply "End task" that program and you can continue working with your computer. But on a Mac it's totally different. If something crashes on a Mac, the whole system locks up (The Beach Ball Of Death)! So I guess when they say it JUST works, is when the system is fresh and nothing is installed on it to challenge the Mac. So technically "It just works BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING TO WORK WITH!" They would also say: "With a system from Apple you will never have to think about drivers, upgrades or anything". And again their popular sentence "It Just Works!". Well I still don't give a damn! And YES you will not think about upgrading or drivers or anything like that because they are NOT upgradeable! So after 2 years or so, you simply trash your iCrap and buy a new one! |
